Then we backed to the cooking school to cook a 5-courses meal, including my favourite mango sticky rice!! Pim was extremely patient and taught us many cooking skills. After getting ingredients at the largest wet market in Bangkok, we went back to the roomy and comfortable studio by tuktuk (live dangerously). We discovered this class on Airbnb but ended up booking it on Cookly because it was much cheaper and there were more options. Anyways it was worth every penny, because we enjoyed it so much! They also allowed my mom... read moreOn a weekday for an afternoon class, I was the only one taking the class. They also allowed my mom who was traveling with me to stay and watch (and help eat all the food, which was more than necessary!) without an extra charge. The location is a bit hard to find and a nice thai man on a scooter in the neighborhood gave me and my mom a ride:)

I forget the name of the girl that did the class but her English was perfect and her having lived in the US helped inform me if what ingradients I will and will not be able to find once back in the US. We cooked 4 different dishes including the dessert and boy, all of the dishes tasted sooo good!! The pad thai I made was the best pad thai I had in Bangkok 🙂 All the ingradients were so fresh and the teacher gave easy and clear instructions. There was so much food and you eat after you cook each dis, so do come with an empty stomach, dont eat a big breakfast like we did!!

I am also glad to know that the meat bought is halal. Do indicate for halal dietary when signing up. The hands on preparation and cooking is truly indeed a great learning experience. It was a bit cramp to cook in the kitchen because there were quite a number of us. Nevertheless, all of us enjoyed the cooking and eating sessions. read less

Our host, Alex, was knowledgeable and personable. We enjoyed learning about and picking up key ingredients in the market, riding a tuk tuk to the school, and preparing pad Thai, lemongrass salad, green curry, and mango sticky rice. 10/10 highly recommended. The class began with a stroll through a nearby market full of fresh fruits, vegetables and fish. We stopped at multiple locations to learn about the ingredients we would be using. The class itself was run by a very knowledgable and sweet instructor. We made 4 delicious dishes and received recipes to take home with us to reference later. The food was amazing (who knew we were that good at cooking? ?). The facilities were nice and the staff was very friends.
