I spent a great morning starting with market shopping then on to the kitchen to cook 5 superb Thai dishes. Pim is well organised and passionate about her food. Her tips along the way were invaluable (and her English language skills excellent). The kitchen is modern and well equipped and Pim herself is professional and engaging. My husband, who does not cook, came along to eat the food and Pim was very welcoming. I highly recommend this experience. read less

First we went to the local market to get all the ingridients. That was a new experience for us and sooo cool!

After that we took the Tuk Tuk to get to the Cooking School and started to cook.

If you want to do an easy to learn cooking class with sympatic people and having fun while cooking, you should book House of Taste!

This was my fourth cooking class in Thailand and this one was the very best.

I attended with my wife and son and we had the opportunity to learn about authentic Thai cuisine. Pim is a wonderful instructor, she has a great sense of humor and made us laugh with her stories. With Pim’s instruction making Pad Thai and Mussaman curry from scratch seems easy. I highly recommend ‘House of Taste’ to everyone looking for a chance to learn to make Thai food at home. I am glad that someone suggested to come with an empty stomach because the food is very satisfying and filling. read less

Great explanation about all the food and it's very hands on - you get to do a lot of stuff yourself. We originally planned to book the class on Wednesday but it was fully booked, so we opted for the one on Thursday whose menu turned out to be more attractive. The staff were all friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. I couldn't believe I'd have made such nice-looking dishes! Everything was made easy under Pim's coaching. The class began with a stroll through a nearby market full of fresh fruits, vegetables and fish. We stopped at multiple locations to learn about the ingredients we would be using. The class itself was run by a very knowledgable and sweet instructor. We made 4 delicious dishes and received recipes to take home with us to reference later. I am also glad to know that the meat bought is halal. Do indicate for halal dietary when signing up. The hands on preparation and cooking is truly indeed a great learning experience. It was a bit cramp to cook in the kitchen because there were quite a number of us. Nevertheless, all of us enjoyed the cooking and eating sessions. read less

We booked last minute the night before we were leaving and they were able to accommodate us for the next morning. We skipped the market due to our own logistics issues and went directly to the school. Ticha & her team provided excellent training! Our host, Alex, was knowledgeable and personable. We enjoyed learning about and picking up key ingredients in the market, riding a tuk tuk to the school, and preparing pad Thai, lemongrass salad, green curry, and mango sticky rice. 10/10 highly recommended.
